Hailing fron Anianikū in the `aina ho`opulapula of Papakōlea, Keao Costa’s love of music began at a young age, listening to his `ohana playing music in the garage passing the entire night away in song. Strongly influenced by the music of his kūpuna, family, and peers, Keao brings himself, lineage, and traditions forward into a new light. Choosing mele to honor the island of his birth, O`ahu, each song brings to mind a fond memory of a special place, experience, or loved one.
